Getting started
Use a free 30-minute call to map your services, pricing and setup needs.
Prepare your services
Bring your price list, past quotes, contract and portfolio. Agree the setup scope, then organize your catalog and pricing: rentals and setup for events, labor and materials for home services, deliverables and revisions for consulting.
Connect Stripe
Submit business, identity, tax and bank details through Stripe-hosted onboarding. Wait for approval and review the fee requirements below before enabling collection.
Review and send
Check USD prices, taxes, units, local time, terms, deposit and balance. Choose workbench and client-document languages independently. Share by email or WeChat; clients sign and confirm payment on mobile.
What you get at setup
- Your service catalog
- Your agreed services, packages and options, with rules for labor, materials, delivery and other charges.
- Your agreement template
- Your supplied terms, deposit, balance, rescheduling and cancellation rules, with agreed English and Chinese client documents.
- One complete quote workflow
- Review a sample together, from email delivery to mobile signing and a test payment. Accept the setup, then start your trial. Live payments require separate Stripe approval.
Scope and acceptance date are confirmed in writing. Complex integrations are quoted separately; merchants review their contract wording.
Try it with your own business.
Your free trial starts after you accept your configured workspace: 30 days or 100 successfully sent quotes, whichever comes first. Each quote counts once, on its first successful send to a client; repeat sends, drafts, tests and failed retries do not count. Your setup coordinator confirms the start, deadline and send count with you in writing. At the end, choose a paid plan or end the trial. There is no automatic charge. The trial waives the software subscription fee; Stripe processing and merchant-added customer fees are separate. Live payments still require Stripe approval.

- Cards & wallets
- Credit/debit cards and Apple Pay / Google Pay, depending on device, wallet, region and account settings. Wallets containing debit or prepaid cards must not be surcharged.
- US bank / ACH
- Enable ACH; clients authorize payment and verify their bank account. Standard settlement is usually 4 business days. Payments can still fail or be returned.
- Activation & payouts
- There is no guaranteed activation time: completing the form is not approval. Stripe may request more documents. Live collection needs platform activation and merchant approval. The first payout typically takes 7–14 days after the first successful live payment; check your Stripe Dashboard for actual dates.
- Funds & refunds
- Stripe processes payments into your own Stripe account. You handle refunds and disputes. 24 Helpful takes no payment commission; Stripe fees are separate.
Hosted Checkout currently runs in test mode; live wallets are not yet validated. Link is disabled to keep payment methods aligned with fee calculation. Signing does not charge the client; they confirm payment separately.

Customer payment fees
Online collection automatically adds the following fees to each deposit or balance payment.
| Method | Added fee |
|---|---|
| Eligible credit cards | The rate in the service agreement. No surcharges on debit or prepaid cards. |
| Online ACH | 0.8%, capped at $5 per payment. A $500 deposit adds $4; a $1,000 balance adds $5. |
| Offline bank transfer | No workbench-added fee. Your bank may charge separately. |
Set the rate at Settings → Quote defaults → Card processing fee %. The contract and checkout use the same rate. Review the rate against applicable card-network rules, actual acceptance costs and state law before enabling surcharges. Changing the default affects new quotes; a previously sent agreement retains its recorded rate.
Before adding a surcharge
- For US Visa credit cards, a surcharge must not exceed the lower of 3% or the merchant’s actual cost of card acceptance. Stripe’s standard US domestic online card price is approximately 2.9% + $0.30 per successful transaction; actual pricing varies, and that example is not permission to charge a particular rate.
- Debit and prepaid cards must not be surcharged, even when processed as credit.
- Before starting, complete required card-network and acquirer notifications; Visa requires at least 30 days’ advance notice to the acquirer. Some states prohibit or further restrict surcharges.
- Disclose any permitted fee and the total before payment and on the receipt.
- The merchant chooses the rate and is responsible for compliance; consult a lawyer or Stripe before enabling surcharges. Do not assume the workbench automatically checks card type, costs, notices or state-law eligibility. If you cannot ensure debit/prepaid exclusion and all applicable requirements, do not enable card surcharging.
Customer fees differ from Stripe’s actual charges and do not guarantee a net amount. Review this guidance with counsel for your business.
